19

Hi. Here are the photos I took today. I thought a blog was way easier than email so here you go, your very own blog!
Here are the photos I compared it with:
 Web Photos
The first photo online is inacurate because the shutters have been painted but that can be seen in the last photo. The listing photos definitely make house feel bigger than it is. If you notice the couch size in relation to the red chair you can see that it's small. Same with the dinning room table (seating 4 not 6). It also makes the bedrooms feel bigger than they are. The bedroom with red bed...bed is small compared to table. Great staging!  The photos are spot on with paint and flooring. It was very clean, no visible damage or weird smells. It looks very well taken care of.

Things noted:
- As you turn off Eglin Parkway (coming from base) onto 6th ave (McDonalds & Raceway Gas station) there is median work so you cannot make a left turn directly on to 6th Ave. Not a huge deal but requries you to make a U - turn or go down next road and jog over.
- Older houses in neighborhood. Mixed bag...some yards good, some unkept, some with extra cars lingering, some very well kept, duplexs and apartment areas but not over whelming.
- Areas right near your home seem nice. Tried to capture that in photos below.
- No sidewalks...very typical for this area. We have no sidewalks either.
- House is set back, more private and tucked away. Only one neighbor on road. Entire circle is yours.
- Great back yard fenced in but no privacy fence with direct neighbors to left.
- Appliances seemed to be in good condition.
- Guy I met with did not know about a shead or about utilities.
- Shalimar is fairly small which I think is a good thing. It's a great great location to get to base, to Fort Walton and Eglin Parkway has anything you need. Post office close.
- Great athletic field few blocks away with small kid playground but tons of room for running around.
- Neighborhood was quiet when I was there in the morning. Might be a different story after schools get out. Might be something to see if you visit here.
- Overall, good house in good condition. On the smaller side but seemed to have plenty of storage options.
- Hmmm...if I think of anything else I'll let you know.
Good luck!

Driving down 3rd, approaching Oak Ln which is the road just before 9th st. You would turn left at the next road.

View just after turning off 3rd on to 9th st. House 2nd of left. Circle (teardrop) straight ahead.

View coming in. Above the ground wires could be an issue during hurricanes or excessive wind, however, no really big trees near them.

View coming around circle drive.

Straight on view. Cool plant arch on left side. Awesome blue shutters so all your friends will know they are at the correct house for all your fancy dinner parties. :) This style of house is seen throughout the neighborhood...ranch with pilars.

Very small one car driveway.

Big closet next to laundry room/converted carport room door...I was standing in fire place room.

This is the big laundry/play room/storage area. Lots of cabinets, 2 bike hooks. View looking straight out to driveway. Hence the car... :) This room feels bigger than photo portrays.

View looking from double doors by driveway.

Laundry table and more storage.

Fire place wall, high book shelf on left wall goes across entire room.

Smaller section of back yard looking strainght out back. Lots of windows. Fire place to left of me. These are the windows that the TV entertainment system is parked in front of on the listing photos.

Looking straight outside, fire place directly behind me.

Big side of back yard in far right corner of property. Lots of trees so you don't see duplexes. This is the part you would see outside master bedroom. View might change in winter when you lose leaves.

Fun trees, grill, cememt slab partially covered.

Kitchen looking from wall shelf room. Back yard to left, hallway to rooms to right.

Kitchen view from hallway looking towards back yard. Nice to have 2 entrances.

Great pantry outside kitchen in room with wall full of shelves...faces the shelf wall. Kitchen entrance to left.
Main bathroom. No under sink storage but lots of shelves. Not super deep.

Bathtub. Obviously. :)

Room next to master, windows look to back yard.

Deep closets but not walk in.

Only room with no light on ceiling. I believe all rooms had ceiling fans. Don't have photo of fourth room.

Front side corner room.

Master bedroom, long...not huge...cozy. On back right corner of house.

Master bath is small. Good sixed shower but small sink area.

One sink in master bath.

View coming out of hallway from bedrooms into living room.

Front window...older windows, check out utilites.

Right side of house. View from front lawn looking straight at house.

Left side of house view from front yard. Chain link fence on this side only. All other sides are high wooden plank fences.

View from front door looking slightly left at circle drive.

Zoomed in on circle drive. Silver car looks like it belongs to duplex on far left of photo.

View from front door looking towards circle and slightly right.

View coming out of 9th st so the house is behind me. This is a view of the neighborhood across 3rd ave

3rd Ave. I drove turned left off 9th st (photo above) and flipped a U turn to take this a few blocks from the house.

Few blocks away in neighborhood. Close to water.
Big athletic complex with baseball and soccer fields. Small kids playground area. You can see this really well on Google Maps in the satelite mode.
Convience store on 6th Ave across street from athletic field. Village market down the road.
